NAME
SynCE − A project for connecting to devices running Windows CE or Pocket PC.
DESCRIPTION
The following steps are required to get started with SynCE:
(1)
Configure connection (as root)
Use synce-serial-config(8) to setup a connection using
serial cable or infrared. This configuration must be done
with root privileges.
This only needs to be done the first time you run SynCE, or when you want to connect through a different port.
(2) Start
the connection daemon (as user)
The dccm(1) program handles the SynCE connection. This
daemon is run by the user.
(3) Start
the connection (as root)
Use synce-serial-start(8) to make your device initiate a
connection to dccm.
(4) Run
tools that access the device (as user)
See for example pls(1) and pcp(1).
See http://synce.sourceforge.net/ for more information about the SynCE project.
