ranlib - generuj indeks dla archiwum.
ranlib [-v|-V] archiwum
ranlib generuje indeks do zawartoci archiwum i zachowuje go w archiwum.
Indeks wymienia kady symbol, zdefiniowany przez czonkw archiwum, ktrzy
s relokowalnymi plikami obiektowymi.
Moesz uy `nm -s' lub `nm --print-armap' w celu wylistowania tego indek-
su.
Archiwum z takim indeksem szybciej si linkuje i zezwala procedurom z
biblioteki na wzajemne wywoywanie si, bez uwagi na to, w jakiej s kole-
jnoci.
Program GNU ranlib jest inn postaci GNU ar; uruchomienie ranlib jest
zupenie rwnowane `ar -s'.
